Taste Hospitality ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who uses this website or engages our recruitment services. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you. It covers every way you might give us information: briefing a role, joining our talent pool, or contacting us directly.
What we collect
We only collect what you give us directly through this site or in conversation with us:
- Briefing a role (via the main site or a Google Ads landing page): your name, phone number, email address, venue name, the role you're looking to fill, and any details you choose to add.
- Joining our talent pool: your name, email address, phone number, suburb, current or most recent role, years of experience, salary expectations, a short summary about yourself, and your CV file.
- Getting in touch by phone or email: whatever you tell us directly.
We don't collect anything beyond what you actively submit through these channels.
How we use it
We use your information to do exactly what you've asked of us: respond to your enquiry, screen and put candidates forward for a role, run a search on a client's behalf, or keep your details on file so we can reach out when a matching opportunity comes up. We don't use it for anything else, and we don't sell or rent it to anyone.
Who we share it with
Your information isn't passed to any third-party marketing platform, data broker, or recruitment software — form submissions come straight to Taste Hospitality, and nowhere else.
If you're a candidate, we may share your details with a specific venue or employer when putting you forward for a role, but only after speaking with you about that opportunity first. If you're briefing a role as a client, your venue and business details aren't shared with anyone outside that search.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as it's genuinely useful for the reason you gave it to us — for candidates, generally for as long as we might reasonably put you forward for a role; for clients, for as long as needed to complete a search and follow up afterward. If you ask us to delete your details at any point, we will.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that's wrong, or ask us to delete it entirely. Email rob@tastehospitality.com.au and we'll action it directly — there's no formal process to navigate. We handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles, to the extent they apply to a business of our size.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure the performance of our paid advertising campaigns. This works by placing a small cookie in your browser when you click one of our ads, which lets us see when that visit later results in an enquiry. It doesn't identify you personally, and we don't use it to track you elsewhere online. You can opt out of this kind of tracking at any time through your Google Ads Settings, or by disabling cookies in your browser.
We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site, such as which pages are viewed and how people found us. This is aggregated, anonymised usage data. It doesn't identify you personally, and we don't use it to track you elsewhere online. You can opt out at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by disabling cookies in your browser.
Outside of these two tools, the site doesn't use social media pixels or any other tracking technology. If that changes, we'll update this policy to reflect it.
